Kyanite smooth drop beads, also known as water sapphire.
The 7-10 mm size is easy to use, and produces beautiful, high-quality beads with almost no scratches.

Kyanite is derived from the Greek word ``kianos'' meaning ``blue'', and most are unevenly colored stones that are often found with pyrope garnet. Kyanite is a unique stone with two degrees of hardness, whereas most gemstones have the same hardness when measured at any part of the crystal.
